10 WaldenTRI members competed across various disciplines in Bilbao over 9 days of racing

Steve Bunce and Cheryl Keen raced brilliantly in the Sprint Duathlon (5K run, 20K cycle, 2.5K run). Next up was Lem Lawrence, Craig Stewart and Craig Dyce in Standard Distance Duathlon (10K run, 40K cycle, 5K run). Later in the week, Emma & Luke Williams, and Benoit Bely raced middle distance Aquathlon (1.9K swim, 90K Cycle), with Phil Doel, Gerry Frewin and Simon Fawcett racing the middle distance Triathlon (1.9K swim, 90K cycle, 13.1K run)
 Craig Dyce and Benoit Bely both scooped gold medals in their events, with Emma Williams grabbing bronze. Simon Fawcett had a crash on the cycle and fractured his hip, after a promising start to the race. Our best wishes go out to Simon for a speedy recovery.
