After the mist had cleared following the senior race in the morning, our juniors were treated to wonderful weather and the club had 37 members racing.

The Youths and Tristar race set off at 1pm and WaldenJNR were quickly at the front. Ptolemy Hand lead the way from start to finish although he was hard pressed by Daniel Blocksage from Newmarket on the bike. There were very strong performances behind with Charlie Passfield (3rd Tristar 3), Alex Howlett (4th Tristar 3) and Luke Diana(2nd Youth) not far behind. Maddie Trevillion was our only girl in this race and she finished third in the girls Youth race.

The Tristar 2 boys race was won by Joseph Wilmott (unattached) and Kiera Tippett (East Essex Tri). Leon Bozianu(2nd ) and Ross Broomfield(4rd ) had a closely fought race with only 10 secs between them at the end. Lottie Dyce had a strong final run to finish second in the girls race with Hannah Lindsell not far behind in third.

WaldenJNR had a clean sweep of the girls Tristar 1 race. Helena Dyce led home the girls with a strong performance in each discipline with Ciara Broomfield and Tor Lovell not far behind. A tight boys race was won by Jacob Hinton with ex club member Angus Villiers close behind in second. Talented 8 year olds Alex Dale and James Fraser finished in 3rd and 4th place with particularly strong performances on the bike.

These were the highlights but there were great performances all the way through the field and special mention must go to Annabel Trevillion who was last across the line in the Tristar 2 race, and then realised she raced in the wrong race! She should have been in the Tristar 1 race. We all blame her Dad!!
