Congratulations to all who race at Cambridge last week in the blisteringly hot conditions. We had over 40 racing and the team spirit and support for all of our competitors was amazing. I think we made our presence felt with our club gazebo and four Walden flags. It made quite an impressive sight.

The highlights were:

• The impressive effort made by George Peasgood to finish the run, despite the obvious pain he was in.
• The sprint finish by Ella Dyce as she tried to beat the fastest boy in the Tristart age group. She was comfortably the fastest girl.
• The Tristar 1 girls where five of our team started in the same wave with Jemima Wightman just coming in ahead of Florence Dellor. Annabel Trevillion was a bit further back but she was busy talking to every marshal or supporter out on the course!
• A terrific bike split by Tom Blower in Tristar 3
• 3rd place overall by Sophie Jones also competing in Tristar 3
