Since September 2011 the club has been split into four training groups. Members move up groups each September based on their race category for the following year. The Groups are as follows:

TriStart and TriStar 1 - ages 8 to 10 at 31 Dec 2012

is the beginners group for TriStart and TriStar 1, with an emphasis on fun, and development of good co-ordination skills and technique. Training sessions usually involve a number of small activities, with games and relay races. Group 1 Weekly Schedule

TriStar 3 and Youths - ages 13 to 15 at 31 Dec 2012

is the second intermediate training group for TriStar 3 and first year Youth. They move from "learning to train" to "training". They are at an age when they need to start training to develop, so the sessions are structured to include endurance and strength training with quantities suitable to their age. This group are taken out on the road for cycle training, and they learn about group riding. Group 3 Weekly Schedule

TriStar 2 - ages 11 and 12 at 31 Dec 2012

is the first intermediate group for TriStar 2. The group start "learning to train". The emphasis is on co-ordination and developing good technique, but they are also learning how to train. As well as developing technique, the children are taught and practice different training methods, but in a fairly gentle way. Sessions still have a fun element to them. Group 2 Weekly Schedule

Youth and Junior - ages 16 to 19 at 31 Dec 2012

is the advanced training group for second year Youth and Junior. They are training to race. They are at an age when they can train at higher levels of endurance and intensity. They learn skills which will help them race in drafting and non drafting races and in 2012 we expect this group to do some open water swim training. The group are regularly taken out on the road for cycle training, and they learn all the skills which allows them to easily progress to adult club training sessions. Group 4 Weekly Schedule
